Sports Massage is suitable for all ages and people regardless of whether you do sport or not.   It involves the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons and ligaments.   The techniques used have been developed to ensure effective and efficient results are gained from each massage given.   

Sports massage may:

Improve circulation and lymphatic flow

Assist in the removal of metabolic waste

Sedate or stimulate nerve endings

Increase or decrease muscle tone

Increase or decrease muscle length

Remodel scar tissue when required

Assist in mental preparation for sporting

During a sports massage Edwina will look at specific areas that are causing you a problem, assess the area and work accordingly.   So whatever you are struggling with  

Shoulders - getting dressed or reaching for things

Neck  -  movement is painful or stiff making driving or daily life difficult.

Lower back - tenderness and aching, finding it difficult to bend over, putting socks and shoes on?

Knee's  -  problems with going up or down stairs?

The above are just a few of the problems that are seen on a regular basis and sports massage has helped with.
